Ex police protection officer Jack Milner returns home to the sleepy Fen town, Ramsey, to attend his mother's funeral. There he finds himself embroiled in a murder case that threatens to rip the very fabric of his past apart.

Tasked with bringing a killer(s) to justice, dogged, long serving  CID Detective Inspector, Colin Knapp, will not let up until he achieves justice for the victim. Meeting silence and lies at every turn he does falter in his pursuit for justice.

 

Newly appointed NCA Officer Ash Quinn is tasked with the murder case as her first case under the newly formed NCA takes grip. Quinn faces personal challenges as she strives to demonstrate to her peers that she is up to doing the job.

 

As Jack Milner gets sucked into the story it becomes clear he is a key suspect in the murder case and he soon finds himself racing against time to save both his sanity and his family.
